Description

The Small Tree PXG6SFP server card allows you to expand the network connectivity of your Mac systems. It provides the additional benefit of providing both optical or copper Gigabit Ethernet ports from a single PCI-X slot in the system. The PXG6SFP card provides the ability to significantly increase your network bandwidth from your system, enabling you to support larger projects effortlessly. The PXG6SFP will support your mixed network configurations effortlessly, while providing increased performance on large transfers with jumbo frame support. The PEG6SFP Gigabit Ethernet ports support OS X's built-in link aggregation software in combination with the internal Gigabit Ethernet port of the system. The PXG6SFP card will transparently load balance all linked ports and seamlessly fail over if one or more ports of cables become disabled. Must be using OS X 10.4.11 or later.

PXG6

The Small Tree PXG6 server card allows you to expand the network connectivity of your systems. Unlike the Power Mac G4's built in ethernet port, the PXG6 supports jumbo frames which means higher data transfer rates. Use the PXG1 card to get an immediate performance increase on large transfers when connecting to other network devices that support jumbo frames or to simply connect to more networks. When used in conjunction with the Mac OS 10.4 (and later) built-in link aggregation software (for Mac OS 10.3 and earlier use Small Tree's 802.3ad load balancing software), these cards provide increased network bandwidth, transparent load balancing among the ports, and transparent fail over if one or more ports or cables become disabled.
