This is our most popular card for adding a basic gigabit ethernet port to a client Power Mac G5/G4.
This card provides basic fiber optic gigabit connectivity for G4 and G5 Power Macs and Xserves.
The Small Tree PXG6 server card allows you to expand the network connectivity of your systems. Unlike the Power Mac G4's built in ethernet port, the PXG6 supports jumbo frames which means higher data transfer rates. Use the PXG1 card to get an immediate performance increase on large transfers when connecting to other network devices that support jumbo frames or to simply connect to more networks. When used in conjunction with the Mac OS 10.4 (and later) built-in link aggregation software (for Mac OS 10.3 and earlier use Small Tree's 802.3ad load balancing software), these cards provide increased network bandwidth, transparent load balancing among the ports, and transparent fail over if one or more ports or cables become disabled.
This card provides basic fiber optic gigabit connectivity for G5 Power Macs with PCI-Express, Mac Pros and Intel Xserves.
